Recordings don't appear in the list

Recordings now appear instantly after stopping. If one is missing, re-open the app to trigger a filesystem rescan. Check that the recording is in the app's Documents folder (not a system folder). If the file was moved manually via the Files app, Sonidata will re-sync on next launch.

Voice Slate isn't working

Check that Speech Recognition permission is granted: iPhone Settings → Sonidata → Speech Recognition. Ensure you have a stable internet connection for the first download of the speech model (subsequent uses are offline). Try changing the Voice Slate Language in Settings if accuracy is poor.

Location isn't auto-filling

Check permission: iPhone Settings → Sonidata → Location → "Always" (recommended) or "While Using". If using "While Using", the location may take a moment to fetch when you first open the Naming View. GPS accuracy is lower indoors — step outside for a more precise reading.

Files aren't organizing into folders

Check that Folder Organization is enabled: Settings → Folder Organization → Mode (set to Category or Full). Ensure Auto-Organize is turned on. If files were recorded before enabling organization, use "Organize All" to batch-process them.

Siri Shortcuts don't trigger recording

Make sure Sonidata has been opened at least once after the update so the App Intents are registered with the system. Check Settings → Siri & Search and confirm Sonidata shortcuts are visible. If using Back Tap, verify it's configured: Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap.

Live Activity not showing on Lock Screen

Live Activities must be enabled: iPhone Settings → Sonidata → Live Activities. Ensure you're running iOS 16.1 or later (required for ActivityKit).

Export ZIP is empty

Check that your filters actually match some recordings (the preview count shows how many files will be included). Make sure the recordings have audio files on disk (missing files are shown with a "missing" indicator).

Importing from Voice Memos doesn't work

Make sure you're using the Share button in Voice Memos, not drag-and-drop. If the import seems stuck, close and re-open Sonidata — the file will be picked up automatically.

Theme looks wrong or colors are stuck

Switch themes in Settings → Display → Theme. If using System, the app follows your iPhone's appearance setting (Settings → Display & Brightness).
